Easter season is Tilapia season in the Yucatán. 
February 22 – April 8, 2012
One of Mexico´s most important and heartfelt traditional (vs commercialized)  holidays seasons.

We are growers of Tilapia Nilotica Oreochromis and currently have available the following sizes in the following numbers. We were extremely successful in our efforts in 2011 and so because we virtually lost no fish to disease nor any other mishap and because our fish grew with such speed and success, we will give you approximate numbers and weights because in fact, while we are fairly close on the quantity side, we may well be underestimating our total numbers of kilos available.

Wholesale Sales – Fresh Tilapia

Starting from smallest fish and working up from there, we have approximately:

2,500 kg	@ 375-450 grams
7,000 kg	@ 550-600 grams
2,800 kg	@ 700-800 grams
1,200 kg	@ 900-1000 grams

Prices are as follows as of 16/2/2012 and through 8/4/2012:

5-25 kg	$55/kg
26-50 kg	$45/kg
51-100 kg	$40/kg
101-400 kg	$35/kg
400 kg plus	$30-$35/kg

We are an established company under new management over the past 18 months and as  any of you in the business know, this is a seasonal endeavor in a volatile global economy so that planning ahead with the desired accuracy one would prefer is simply not always possible.  As such, we are in a position to offer our current population of fish to the savvy buyer at very attractive, one time rates, per ton so that we can move this inventory out immediately as we ready our next generation of fish in anticipation of the post-Easter week (Semana Santa), grow-out season of 2012.

We are located just outside of Panaba, Yucatán, 40 minutes from Tizimin, 2 hours to the Yucatán state capital of Merida and the international Port of Progreso. We are also approximately 3 hours to the tourist markets of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. We are connected by mainly new and all excellent transportation routes and infrastructure so are conveniently located for rapid shipping and deliveries of local, and national, as well as international bulk sales.

We also have access to processing facilities which are also capable of producing, on an impressive scale,  pre-packaged meals ready for use, and/or shipment locally, nationally, and internationally and all pre-approved for any of these possible requirements by both the governments of  Mexico and the U.S.
